The research and development on the resource utilization of waste LCDs in China is relatively late, with a short time and limited content, resulting in a lack of effective solutions and processing for waste LCDs, which makes it impossible to carry out large-scale recycling and utilization. With the increasing emphasis on the research of waste LCD resource utilization, progress has been made in the resource utilization of waste LCD displays in China for a long time. Researchers are constantly solving the processing problems to promote a greener, more cost-effective, and environmentally friendly entire resource utilization process, with good economic benefits for by-products.

These by-products have certain utilization value, for example, the hydrolysis reaction of polarizing film produces acid, and laminated glass powder is used to produce building decoration materials such as concrete. The scientific research on the relevant aspects has already aroused the concern of many experts and scholars, and the by-products after resource utilization may be further utilized, resulting in sustained economic benefits from resource utilization.
